As our story continues to unfold at After 93, today marks a meaningful milestone: the release of our Pinot Noir 2023, the first red wine to join our portfolio. Crafted with intention from some of the finest small-lot vineyards on the slopes of Mount Boucherie, this vintage represents the elegance, dedication, and family heritage that define who we are.
Crafted From the Slopes of Mount Boucherie
Our Pinot Noir originates from select vineyard blocks on volcanic soils, including our Ogden Road Vineyard in West Kelowna. Hand-harvested in October 2023, the grapes were sorted with care and given a five-day cold soak to gently extract colour and delicate aromatics.
Fermentation took place in small open-top vessels, followed by a gentle pressing and 12 months of aging in French oak barrels, with 25% new oak providing subtle structure and refinement.
The result? A wine that speaks softly yet confidently — expressive, pure, and unmistakably Okanagan.
Tasting Experience
Expect a lifted bouquet of black cherry, raspberry, and blackcurrant, accented by hints of vanilla and warm spice. On the palate, the wine offers:
- Soft, sweet tannins
- Notes of ripe strawberry and forest floor
