There’s a moment in the vineyard each year that quietly sets everything in motion.
It doesn’t come at harvest.
It doesn’t come in the cellar.
It begins now.
Across our estate vineyards in the South Okanagan, the last of winter’s stillness has given way to the first signs of a new growing season. Pruning has just been completed, and our team has begun tying — a precise, deliberate process that shapes how each vine will grow in the months ahead.
To most, this stage can seem subtle. The vines are bare, the landscape still quiet. But this is where the foundation of the vintage is built.
At After 93, everything begins in the vineyard.
Our approach is rooted in precision and restraint — farming not for volume, but for expression. The work being done now may go unnoticed to most, but it will be reflected in every bottle we release.
As the days grow longer and the South Okanagan sun returns, the vines will soon begin to push new shoots. Another vintage is underway.
And while it’s still early, the story of that vintage has already begun.
